From impression to dental restoration
DENTAURUM's dental laboratory helps make crowns, bridges, ceramic veneers and dentures. The dentist establishes the indication and provides the necessary information, while the technician makes the restoration according to the plan.
An impression records the shape of the teeth and the area supporting the restoration. Colour, shape, the gum margin and chewing contacts need to work together. Try-in appointments allow the restoration to be checked in the patient's mouth.

Options and indications
Treatment steps
01
Recording the case
The dentist prepares the case and records the shape of the teeth.
02
Laboratory work
The technician makes the restoration according to the instructions.
03
Clinical try-in
We check the fit, appearance and bite.
04
Completion
We fit the restoration and establish ongoing care.
Why try-in appointments matter
A restoration is not assessed only outside the mouth. In the practice, we check its position on supporting teeth, contacts with neighbouring teeth and the way you bite. Tell your dentist if you feel pressure, a high contact or any other change that bothers you.
Frequently asked questions
Can I order a crown directly from the laboratory?
Prosthetic treatment starts with a dental consultation. The dentist assesses suitability, prepares the tooth and checks the restoration at try-in appointments.
When will the restoration be ready?
The timeframe depends on the material, number of units, try-in appointments and any adjustments. You receive an estimate once the plan is established.
Can the restoration be changed at a try-in?
Discuss any concerns about appearance and comfort with your dentist. The dentist and laboratory will determine which adjustments are possible before completion.
